18th Tues.
I have never seen it rain like it did last night and today. Didn’t work all P.M. because of it. Woke up at 2:00 last night and had it in my head that something was wrong. Wonder if something happened at home.

19th Wed.
Still raining. Just about out of dry clothes. Took out underwear etc. from barracks bag and they were all moldy. Washed and boiled everything, and if they ever get dry I am going to pack them in a box.

20th Thurs.
Still raining. So Tojo is done. The S of a B.

21st Fri.
On guard tonite. Still raining. Went down to the airport to see about a transfer to ATC. I got the dope and Lt. Hearlin granted my request for this transfer. It is just a chance.

Still raining. What a Hell of a life.

23rd Sun.
Wrote a letter to Katherine and Marine. No letters today. Washed and went down to the airport. Am going to try to transfer to Air Freight Transport. I ought to get a break somewhere pretty soon. This is to be in the Air Service Area Command (ASAC).
